Tail: White over tan Seafibers
Wing: Black-laced white dyed orange hen cape curved in.
Hackle: Orange over pink maribou

Tail: Yellow Krystalflash over chartreuse badger fur with guard hairs
Wing: Black-laced white dyed chartreuse hen cape splayed
Hackle: One chartreuse and one light blue cross-cut rabbit strip palmered side-by-side
Head: Chartreuse Danville size A
Hook: 1/0 to 3/0 Owner Aki preferred
Notes: This depicts one of the tarpons’ favorite foods: the pinfish. Strip it very slow, they will come and eat it.
Tail: 1 ½ inch tan Aunt Lydia’s yarn with tip end melted to prevent unraveling. Top with 10 strands of red Krystalflash, and top again with sparse red maribou.
Body: Tightly spun deer hair, alternate natural with cream or pale yellow.
Head: Purple deer hair.
Hook: Size 1 to 2/0 Long shank and light wire important.
Notes: Trim deer hair flat on bottom and round over the top. Thickness should not exceed that of a pencil. When there is a visible worm hatch strip fly very fast across or with the current. All worms swim with the current. Do not use fluorocarbon shock tippet, as this sinks the fly, and this fly must be on or near the surface. Fly floatant can be used on this fly.
